HELLHOUND was formed in 2002 based on EXCITER's tribute band and started its activities in 2003. In 2004, they released the EP "WELCOME TO METAL ZONE" which was recorded in just 10 hours, and at the same time performed first show. In June 2006, 1st album "TOKYO FLYING V MASSACRE" was released, and in August, the European version was also released from Majestic Rock. In 2008, they released 2nd album "METAL FIRE FROM HELL" released in Europe from Inferno Records and North America from Planet Metal also. Then, the German festival "KEEP IT TRUE" heard the band's reputation and inviting them as first time a Japanese band in November 2008, and they performed at "KEEP IT TRUE". And the 3rd album "LET METAL RULE THE WORLD" was released in December 2011. In 2014, They advanced to the final round of "Wacken Metal Battle Japan", where they won the championship and get the ticket of representation from Japan. Then, in July of the same year, they performed at the world's largest heavy metal festival "Wacken Open Air 2014". In October 2015, the single "Sign Of Heavy Metal", which was released only for digital, won the first position in the Amazon ranking beat BABY METAL. The following year, a Vinyl format was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of the 1st album from Diabolic Might Records, Germany. In March 2017, the 2nd album was also released on Vinyl from Diabolic Might Records. In 2018, the 4th album "The Oath Of Allegiance To The Kings Of Heavy Metal" is released. Then in June 2021, the band signed a new contract with SPIRITUAL BEAST, they released a new album "Warrior Of Rising Sun" (including three new songs) that summarizes their career on September 22nd.
